Meetings & Events: 2025 - 2026

Unless otherwise noted, all meetings and events occur at our Clubhouse, 

903 Ponce de Leon Blvd, Belleair FL  33756            

General Meetings

Our meetings are normally held on the first Wednesday of the month beginning 12:30. Programs begin at 1:00 p.m.  Meetings include a program or guest presentation followed by a light luncheon.   Persons interested in membership are encouraged to attend as a guest.  It is not necessary to live in Belleair to join our club.  ALL are welcome!

Horticulture Meetings

The Belleair Garden Club's Horticultural meetings are normally held on the second Wednesday of the month beginning at 9:30 a.m. for coffee. The program begins at 10:00 a.m.  Guests and potential new members are always welcome!


Occasionally the program consists of a field trip. Guests are welcome to join.  RSVP is required for most field trips. 


Workshops

The Belleair Garden Club offers a variety of Interactive and fun workshops for hands-on learning experiences, such as floral arranging, seed propagation, decoupage, wreath making, painting, resin art, and garden-themed crafting sessions.  The workshops are open to the public.  Dates, times and fees will vary.   Workshops

September 2025:

Special Event 9/26: 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Nature's Bounty Art Exhibit & Benefit Sale 

at the Belleair Garden Club, hosted by First Class Framing of Clearwater.

 First Class Night of Art at the Belleair Garden Club
Step into an evening of creativity, community, and charm at the Belleair Garden Club! Our “Nature’s Bouquet” Art Exhibition will showcase the incredible talent of local artists, featuring works in a variety of mediums. It’s the perfect chance to discover your next favorite piece and purchase directly from the artists themselves.

  Highlights of the Night:

* Live Music by Nick Sinatra
* Appetizers, Wine, & Refreshments
* Unique Local Vendors with one-of-a-kind treasures
* Art Sales That Give Back — a portion of proceeds support the Belleair Garden Club’s Historical Preservation Program

This special event is proudly hosted by First Class Framing of Clearwater LLC.  
Gather your friends and join us for an unforgettable evening filled with art, music, and community spirit!   Open to all.  No fee to attend. Invite your friends!

October 2025:

10/1:  Healthy Soil, Healthy Plants, Healthy People, Healthy Communities 

The Belleair Garden Club welcomes members and the community to attend our 2025/2026 Kick Off Meeting at our historic clubhouse in Belleair featuring a Presentation by Emmanual Roux, the owner and chef of 15th Street Farm.   Discover how the 15th Street Farm grew from a healing garden to a thriving urban farm, empowering communities through food, soil, education, and connection.  Question & Answer Session and a light luncheon will follow the presentation.   Gather at 12:30, Program begins at 1 p.m. 

    

 The Art Exhibit will be on display.  Art is available to purchase before or after the meeting.

       We will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items for HOPE Villages of America, small vases for Random Acts of Flowers Tampa Bay, and gently used or new handbags, jewelry, accessories, and vintage items for Junk & Jewels Sale.


10/8: Field Trip to 15th Street Farm - 

 This non-profit urban farm combines education, sustainability, and community-building through its unique offerings.

At the heart of 15th Street Farm is its half-acre organic farm, where fresh, healthy produce is grown using regenerative practices. The farm’s mission is simple: to teach the importance of food grown carefully, from soil to fork. Alongside the farm, a spacious 2,000-square-foot commercial kitchen and wood-fired brick oven serve as a gathering space for various events designed to engage the public.

Meet at the farm at 10:45 a.m. for a tour of the farm and brief presentation “Good Food is the product of a Healthy Soil”, followed by a family-style gourmet lunch served at long tables in the covered open-air pavilion. Casual attire and walking shoes. $35 per person, payable at the farm. RSVP required by 10/3 so that they can make preparations. RSVP to: belleairgardenclub2@gmail.com


November 2025:

11/5: Belleair Garden Club's 75th Anniversary Celebration - Special Event: Celebrating the Past and Preserving the Future!   This year marks a remarkable milestone as the Belleair Garden Club celebrates 75 years of service!  A Diamond Jubilee Gala will be held to recognize and commemorate the history and accomplishments of the Belleair Garden Club.  Open to All! RSVP REQUIRED BY 10/20/25.  

Brief Member Meeting at 12:00  Festivities begin at 1 p.m.  A light tea and refreshments will follow.


11/12:  Horticultural  Meeting --  Presentation by Lela Kelly: How to get your garden growing!   Learn about Composting, Germinating, and Propagation.  

Coffee & Social at 9:30 a.m. Program begins at 10:00 a.m.


11/19:  Horticultural Meeting --  Presentation by Lela Kelly:  Small Space Gardening - Everything You Need to Know!   Grow Pots, Grow Towers, and Container Gardening for Beginners and Tips for Pros.  Learn how to grow your own food in a limited space!   Coffee & Social at 9:30 a.m. Program begins at 10:00 a.m.


December 2025:

12/10     Bellear Garden Club's Annual Holiday “Potluck” Luncheon – Open to Members and Guests.  This festive event is always fun and well attended!  This year we are adding a twist with two charitable opportunities instead of the usual white elephant gift exchange. Let's embrace the true holiday spirit by weaving generosity into our event!  We will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for needy children to be donated to Toys for Tots, plus collecting non-perishable food to be donated to Hope Villages. Everyone brings a dish to share. Guests are welcome.  RSVP is required. Please contact Judy Hanks with RSVP, and dish you are bringing.   Brief General Meeting at 11:30, with festivities to follow. 


January 2026:

1/7:     Presentation by Seminole Bee Farms Owners Slobodan Djordjic and Alejandra Pedroza.  Seminole Bee Farms honors a family legacy that began in 1970 with a father’s passion for bees. Their mission is to protect and conserve pollinators through sustainability, education, and responsible bee removals, rescuing and relocating colonies to give them a second chance.  They are passionate about educating both children and adults on the crucial role bees play in our planet’s health and the art of beekeeping.  Their delicious pure and raw honey will be available for sale after the presentation. Question & Answer Session and a light luncheon will follow the presentation.

1/14:  Horticultural Meeting –The Importance of Native Plants to the Food Chain and Life on This Planet, Presented by Kathy Hefele BGC member and MGV.  Kathy's passion is Native Plants.  Native plants are the cornerstone of Earth’s ecosystems and the base of the food chain that leads to our dinner tables. This enlightening and informative program may have you rethinking your landscaping.

February 2026:

2/5 - 2/7 SPECIAL EVENT -   BELLEAIR GARDEN CLUB'S ANNUAL JUNK & JEWELS SALE 

Find a treasure at the Belleair Garden Club’s Annual "Junk & Jewels Sale" fundraiser, which will be held Thursday - Saturday, February 5-7. The event is open to the public, and there is no charge to attend. Hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. In addition, the club will offer their customary " Pre-Sale Night" on Thursday, February 5, 4:30-7:00 p.m.  Collectors and shoppers can browse and get the first dibs on all the goods. There is a $5 entry fee to attend the presale night only.

Local residents and visitors throughout the Tampa Bay area and beyond, look forward to the huge upscale rummage sale which has been held annually inside the historic garden club building in Belleair for more than 30 years. The entire clubhouse will be overflowing with an eclectic mix of finds including new and gently loved Antiques, Collectibles, Jewelry, Home & Holiday Décor, Furniture, Art, Clothing & Accessories, Books, Toys, Tools, Household Goods, and Vintage Treasures. 

In addition, enjoy browsing through the assortment of potted plants, gardening tools and accessories available for purchase.  There's even a Bake Sale featuring delicious homemade cakes, cookies, pies, and more! The plant and bake sale will run Feb. 6-7, while supplies last. 

Don't miss out on the excitement and community spirit of this highly anticipated event! There will be something for everyone, plus it benefits a good cause!  Proceeds help support the Scholarship and Historical Preservation Programs.


2/11:  Field Trip to Folly Farms Nature Preserve in Safety Harbor.  Folly Farm Nature Preserve, a magical place located in the heart of Safety Harbor, has something for every nature lover. Visitors can walk through the native plant and butterfly gardens, leading to the natural walking trail that winds around a wetland area for approximately a quarter mile trek. This will be a self-guided group field trip. No fee to enter the park.  There are picnic tables and gazebos for those who wish to bring lunch. Consider carpooling.  Meet at Folly Farms at 10:30 a.m. Guests welcome to join.  Please RSVP by email by 2/2/26 to: belleairgardenclub2@gmail.com 


2/18: Orchid Extravaganza -- Presented by Michael and Paula Pollin, owners of Art Stone Orchids & Statuary.  Learn the tips & tricks to growing and caring for orchids! A large selection of orchids and succulent plants will be available for purchase. The Belleair Garden Club's Junk & Jewels "After Sale" will be open for shopping. Bring a friend! No fee to attend. Donations appreciated.  Question & Answer Session and a light luncheon will follow the presentation.

March 2026:

3/4:  Floral Arranging -- Presented by Judith Overcash of Random Acts of Flowers   Random Acts of Flowers’ mission is to bring moments of kindness in the form of a beautiful floral bouquet.  This non-profit organization makes real impact in communities around the country. Whether by improving people’s health and well-being through flower deliveries, or recycling flowers and vases that would have gone to the landfill, their work results in real and lasting change. Judith will demonstrate how to create a beautiful bouquet.  Next week, we will put our knowledge into action as volunteers for the day at RAF Tampa Bay.

A light luncheon will follow the presentation.

3/9 or 3/10   Group Volunteer Day at Random Acts of Flowers 

 Date and Time TBD.  This will be a  RAF Day of Service that gives our group the opportunity to experience the whole mission from floral preparation to delivery. 

RAF is located at 648 Douglas Ave. Dunedin, FL 34698.  Those interested in volunteering please RSVP by 3/4 by email to belleairgardenclub2@gmail.com. 


April 2026:

4/1:  Growing Herbs for Flavor and Health,  Presented by  Debbie Ingram, MGV  Explore herbs that are not only beautiful in the garden but have been used for centuries in cooking, healing, and wellbeing. Question & Answer Session and a light luncheon will follow the presentation.

4/9: Field Trip to Art in Bloom. St. Pete Museum of Art   

This event features the stunning creativity of floral designers from across the state and beyond who interpret works of art of art into flower arrangements. Meet at the Fine Arts Museum at 10:00 a.m.  Lunch at a local restaurant will be arranged in conjunction with this field trip. Self-pay for tickets and lunch.

4/15 Field Trip to Belleair Palms Nursery -- Belleair Palms, Inc. is one of the premier landscape design installation firms in the state of Florida. Owner Bob Deegan will give a tour of their 5 Acre Palm Tree Nursery.

Belleair Palms Nursery is located at 9850 Starkey Road, Clearwater.  Meet at the nursery at 10:30 a.m. Consider car pooling.   Please RSVP by 4/10 to belleairgardenclub2@gmail.com


4/28 SPECIAL EVENT 5:30-7:30 pm - COMMUNITY EVENT: SPRING SOCIAL AT THE BELLEAIR GARDEN CLUB Mark your calendars for April 28th because you won't want to miss the 2nd Annual Spring Social at the charming Belleair Garden Club!

May 2026

May 6, 2026   Annual Luncheon and Installation of Officers

                   at the Belleair Garden Club.  RSVP Required.

Gather at 11:30.  Program begins at noon.


Summer Plant Swaps & Potlucks  - Always popular!  

Our Summer Gatherings are casual and non-structured. Summer Potlucks are held on the first Saturday of the month in June, July, August, and September at 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at the Belleair Garden Club, 903 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Belleair. These informal gatherings are a great way to get to know one another and learn more about our club. We ask everyone to bring a dish to share. (Savory or Sweet). We encourage all members to invite friends & neighbors!

In addition to the great food and conversation, we have a Plant Swap! A plant swap is a fun and rewarding way to exchange plants, cuttings, seeds, and transplants from your own garden to swap with others.

WEDNESDAYS  at the Belleair Garden Club - LEARN HOW TO PLAY MAH JONGG!   Mah Jongg is offered at no charge for members on Wednesdays 2:30-4:30 pm at the Belleair Garden Club, 903 Ponce de Leon, Belleair FL.

Treasures Boutique

The Belleair Garden Club operates the Treasure Boutique, which sells donations of items received from garden club members and community members to help raise money that helps supports the club and its philanthropies. The boutique is usually open 30 minutes prior to all Belleair Garden Club gatherings and events. Stop in and find a treasure!
