Meetings & Events: 2025 - 2026

Unless otherwise noted, all meetings and events occur at our Clubhouse,

General Meetings

Our meetings are normally held on the first Wednesday of the month beginning 12:30. Programs generally begin at 1:00 p.m.  Meetings include a program or guest presentation followed by a tea or light luncheon.   Persons interested in membership are encouraged to attend as a guest.  It is not necessary to live in Belleair to join our club.  ALL are welcome!  Come join us!

Horticulture Meetings

The Belleair Garden Club's Horticultural meetings are normally held on the second Wednesday of the month beginning at 9:30 a.m. for coffee / tea social. The program begins at 10:00 a.m.  Guests and potential new members are always welcome!


Occasionally the program consists of a field trip. Times will vary!  Guests are welcome to join.  RSVP is required for most field trips. 


Workshops

The Belleair Garden Club offers a variety of Interactive and fun workshops for hands-on learning experiences, such as floral arranging, seed propagation, decoupage, wreath making, painting, resin art, and garden-themed crafting sessions.  The workshops are open to the public.  Dates, times and fees will vary.   Workshops   Interested in hosting a workshop?  Please email your proposal to Belleairgardenclub2@gmail.com

2026 Programs & Events

March  2026:

March 21: Wilcox Spring Festival

The Belleair Garden Club is excited to participate once again this year at the Spring Festival at Wilcox Nursery.  The purpose of the Annual Spring Festival is to raise money and awareness for the West Klosterman Preservation Group.   


BGC will have a Booth set up to share information about our club and encourage visitors to join.  We’ll have fun give aways and a spin wheel for prizes.  We are looking for volunteers to assist between 9am -3pm. These hours can be flexible if need be.  A 2 or 3 hour shift would be ideal.   Please email Belleairgardenclub2@gmail.com to volunteer.


March 25:  🌸 Derby Hat Soirée 🌸 Decorate a Derby Hat Workshop

Wednesday, March 25 | 5:30 – 7:30 PM

Let’s get ready for the Derby!

Even if you’re not heading to Churchill Downs, you can still get into the Derby spirit with an evening of creativity, flowers, flair… and a little bubbly.

Join us as we design our own Derby hats in a relaxed, festive setting. Whether you prefer bold and dramatic or elegant and understated, this is your chance to create a one-of-a-kind statement piece.

• All Supplies, Materials, and embellishments — hat, flowers, feathers, ribbon, netting & more (You may bring your own hat if you prefer!)

4/4:  Town of Belleair Arbor Day and SpringFest 

The Belleair Garden Club is delighted to offer our support to the Town of Belleair with our booth at the Annual Arbor Day and SpringFest event, where our volunteer members help children learn to pot a flower in their very own pot.  Members interested in volunteering for this fun event,  please email Belleairgardenclub2@gmail.com 


4/15 Field Trip :  An Exclusive Nursery Tour at Belleair Palms, Inc.
Join us for a special behind-the-scenes visit with President Bob Deegan at his 5-acre palm nursery in Seminole.  Bob describes the morning as “a fun walk in the park” — and that’s exactly what it will be!  We’ll explore exotic palms and tropical specimens while learning about:
• Germinating seeds
• Air layering techniques
• Gardenias and grafting
• The benefits of moringa
• Expert plant care insights

Golf carts (an 8-seater and a 6-seater) will be available to ensure everyone can comfortably enjoy the experience!
Meet at the nursery at 10:30 a.m. Consider carpooling.

Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring sun protection, as this is an outdoor nursery environment. Light refreshments will be served.


To keep the experience engaging and interactive, attendance will be limited.

COMMUNITY EVENT AT THE BELLEAIR GARDEN CLUB

 Saturday 5/2: Something exciting is blooming in Belleair this spring!  The Belleair Garden Club and Candles for Caterpillars are partnering to host the May Day Market on May 2nd.  Set in the beautiful surroundings of the Belleair Garden Club and nearby Hunter Park, the event will bring neighbors together for a lively spring gathering.  The May Day Market is an artisan market and native plant experience designed to celebrate the connection between Florida gardens and the pollinators that keep them alive. Guests can explore a curated selection of local artisans, native plants, and nature inspired offerings while learning more about how pollinators support healthy ecosystems in our community. More details about vendors, activities, and event times will be announced soon.  Proceeds support the Belleair Garden Club's missions and Candles for Caterpillars missions.  Sponsorship opportunities are available. 🌱 Plant Adventures Mini-Camp! 🌱


The Belleair Garden Club invites grandparents, parents, and kids to join us for a fun, hands-on mini-camp all about plants and nature!

Bring the kids and spend a joyful morning discovering how plants grow and travel. Young gardeners will create their own paper seeds, watch how the wind carries seeds to new places, and get their hands in the soil as they plant a seed to take home and grow.

It’s a playful, interactive experience where kids can learn, explore, and connect with nature — and leave with something they planted themselves!

⏰ Time: 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM

📍 Where: Belleair Garden Club

💲 Cost: $10 per child

👧 Who’s invited:

Children ages 6–10, younger siblings welcome, with an accompanying adult.

Summer Plant Swaps & Potlucks  - Always popular!  

Our Summer Gatherings are casual and non-structured. Summer Plant Swaps & Potlucks are held on the first Saturday of the month in June, July, August, and September at 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at the Belleair Garden Club, 903 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Belleair. These informal gatherings are a great way to get to know one another and learn more about our club. We ask everyone to bring a dish to share. (Savory or Sweet). We encourage all members to invite friends & neighbors!

In addition to the great food and conversation, we have a Plant Swap! A plant swap is a fun and rewarding way to exchange plants, cuttings, seeds, and transplants from your own garden to swap with others.

WEDNESDAYS  at the Belleair Garden Club - LEARN HOW TO PLAY MAH JONGG!   Mah Jongg is offered at no charge for members on Wednesdays 2:30-4:30 pm at the Belleair Garden Club, 903 Ponce de Leon, Belleair FL.    

Come join us and learn something new! We have a wonderful instructor to get you started!  Instruction for new players will be scheduled in the future.  It's fun, good for the mind, and a great way to make new friends! Bring your friends! Non-Members are also welcome to come give it a try!   Please RSVP to Belleairgardenclub1@gmail.com, so we have an accurate headcount for the tables to be set up.

Treasures Boutique

The Belleair Garden Club operates the Treasure Boutique, which sells donations of items received from garden club members and community members to help raise money that helps supports the club and its philanthropies. The boutique is usually open 30 minutes prior to all Belleair Garden Club gatherings and events. Stop in and find a treasure!
